Are you a Registered Certifier in Bushfire Prone Areas ? need a better understanding of how to apply bushfire standards and legislation to approvals and certification work?

Designed, developed and delivered by Certifiers for Certifiers, this Short Course will provide Registered Certifiers with a better understanding of the regulatory requirements surrounding Certification in Bushfire Prone Areas. The Short Course looks to expand on the Certifiers existing knowledge of the process involved in establishing a BAL ratings and highlights what bushfire measures should be in place at each stage of the construction process primarily at the Final critical stage inspection.

Purpose

You should attend this course if you want to be able to:

Interpret NSW bushfire legislation and construction standards (AS3959.2018 & Planning for Bushfire Protection 2019).
Assess Bushfire Prone development applications and Complying Development Certificates
Act as a Principal Certifier for Bushfire prone development.
Carry out a Final Inspection of a Bushfire Prone development.

This course is currently provided as an Online Course Only
10 Hour Total Duration – 5 x 2 hr sessions

Course Presenter – Craig Hardy

Craig has been involved in the Building Industry for over 30 years and has been instrumental in paving the way for Building Surveyors in the private sector. Craig is a BPAD Level 2 Practitioner that carries out BAL Assessments and Bushfire reports across NSW for residential and commercial developments. As a Registered Certifier and Managing Director of Local Certification Services, Craig has developed firm working relationships with the some of the State’s largest Project Builders. He has also been the President of the Association of Australian Certifiers since its inception.
